AMS AS optimises direct FMS for XXL in Örebro

In collaboration with XXL, AMS AS has optimised the direct FMS system at the distribution centre in Örebro.

When packages need to go out quickly and accurately, every second counts. AMS has optimised direct FMS at XXL in Örebro to eliminate bottlenecks in SSCC labelling. The result? Faster response times, fewer rejected packages, and a more streamlined logistics process from start to finish.

XXL achieves faster response times

The system plays a key role in the flow of goods by reading SSCC codes (Serial Shipping Container Codes) generated by the Consignor and sending them to a printer that applies the correct labels to outbound packages.

XXL had experienced issues where the system occasionally took too long to retrieve SSCC codes, causing some packages to be rejected. This led to unnecessary delays in the logistics process.

Through targeted development, AMS AS AS optimised the code in direct FMS, significantly reducing response time and improving system stability. The result is a more efficient and reliable handling of shipments, benefiting both the operators in Örebro and the end customers.
